When You Are Worn Out....Look to the Hills

"And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time." Daniel 7:25

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." Psalm 121:1

Sometimes you want to say, "Enough already!!" Its one thing after another. Uprising over here, uprising over there. Calling wrong right and calling right wrong. The constant uproar of "reproductive rights" (what is that really?). Being pressured to compromise your biblical stand. The church welcoming the world. We are steady putting out fires and jumping to the next battle. You may ask, "Does it stop? Can I (we) just get a break?"

Yes and no. It's all a part of the plan of the enemy. It was set in motion after the Fall in Genesis. The enemy always has another volley, another hit, another strategy. This has been years in the making and it won't stop until Jesus returns. The Lord showed Daniel in a vision that the time would come when the Antichrist would "speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws:.." We may not be there yet but the stage is certainly being set and events are being orchestrated so that this will come to pass.

But wait....

Just like the scriptures tell us what the enemy seeks to do and is doing, the scriptures also tell us what we can do when we are overwhelmed with the multiple fronts that we are facing in battle. And what is that? Look up...look to the hills....look to Jesus! He is our help! We can trust the scriptures! It is His word after all. When we look to Jesus, He will give us the strength to keep fighting another day, to stand for righteousness, to draw a line in the sand, to put on the whole armor of God, and to rest in Him. The Lord knows our frame and knows how much we can bear. So, when we feel overwhelmed and worn out, just look to the hills, call upon the name of the Lord and before we finish speaking, He will answer and help will be on the way!
