Thank You, Jesus!
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John16:33

Today we take time to “Give Thanks!”
We give thanks for the many blessings that the Lord has showered us with: life, health, strength, being in our “right” mind, the activity of our limbs, things being as well as they are, employment, food, shelter, being with our families, and the list goes on. There’s just so much to be thankful for! When we stop to reflect and really think about our lives, where we are, what we are experiencing, good or bad, we should have nothing but grateful hearts; hearts that are grateful for the peace of God. If you are a believer, if you are God’s child, nothing beats having peace of mind and the peace of God, in the storm and out of the storm.
John 16:33 is part of a conversation Jesus was having with His disciples as He was nearing the time of His trial and crucifixion. He was describing to them that although He would be leaving them to go back to the Father, they would be comforted and not left alone. Although the world would bring tribulation and trial, they would have the peace of Jesus. There was no need to worry or fret because Jesus had overcome the world.
No matter what is happening, no matter what we hear, no matter what we are bombarded with, no matter the pressure to change our perspective and our mind, we can truly rest in the peace of Jesus for HE has already overcome the world!
For that I am truly thankful!
Happy Thanksgiving!
