Jesus Saves!
As we come to the close of another week, we are getting that much closer to Christmas celebrations and the close of 2020 and the dawning of 2021, if the Lord delays His coming. For many, this year has been difficult to say the least. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic at the beginning of the year, many lives have been changed. Whether you mourned the loss of a loved one, lost a job, landed in dire straits, knew someone who died because of COVID-19, you went out of business and the list goes on, I think very few people can say that they were not affected by the pandemic.
With the constant flow of the 24-hour news cycle updating U.S. and Global coronavirus cases as wells as deaths, depression, suicide, and hopelessness are on the rise. Disputes over wearing masks, riots in the streets and of course, the 2020 elections, have caused many hearts to faint. Are you at your wits end? Are you tired of instability? Are you tired of trusting the things that are fleeting? Do you feel like your life is incomplete? Look around you, things are constantly changing; they are in a state of flux. How do you hold on? Who do you believe? It’s one thing to live in a pandemic or crisis. It’s another to live in it with the Savior.
Yes, the Savior of the World! Jesus Christ. He’s the One.
Perhaps you’ve tried to fill the void in your life with things that do not satisfy. Maybe you relied on your own strength to figure things out. It could be that you are searching for answers to the multitude of questions that you have and keep coming up empty. You don’t want to be lost anymore; searching but not finding.
Don’t stop reading, don’t turn away……your answer is right here. Friend…your answer is in Jesus. Jesus Saves! When all else is sinking sand, when everything is falling apart, you can depend on Jesus. Why? Because He does not change, He is the solid rock. He will give you peace in the middle of chaos. He will help you navigate life’s perplexities and complexities. When you call Him, He will answer!
If you don’t know Jesus Christ, surrender today! Oh, my friend, don’t harden your heart! Surrendering to Jesus is not foul language or a wimpish act. Surrendering to Jesus, asking for forgiveness of your sins, asking Him to come into your heart and letting Him be Lord of your life is an act of faith and you will have found your way to true freedom.
It’s as simple as this, wherever you are, believing according to Romans 10:9-10, which says:
“9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
This means that if you confess and believe that God the Father sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross to save us (the world) from our sins and that on the third day, God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Saved from what? Saved from the wrath that will come upon this world and eternal punishment in Hell. Being saved means having your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life and spending eternity with Jesus Christ.
If you have made the decision to give your life to Christ, you have made the best decision you will ever make! Welcome to freedom and welcome to the family of believers! Now go and share your good news!
