Great is Thy Faithfulness!

New week! New Mercies!

God is faithful in all things and at all times. He never forgets, He never fails, He never falters, and He never forfeits His Word. We can rest on that and rejoice in it! The scripture that comes to mind when I think about this is Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good" That is a guarantee!

We are frail humans and even though we like to think that we are tough and self-sufficient, there are still things that cause us to be fearful. It's what we see in front of us, those things that look contrary to what we have heard the Lord say or what we have read in the scriptures, that cause us to question if He will show up/deliver/provide/heal. Regardless of what it looks like, we can count on the Lord! Borrowing from the lyrics of "Amazing Grace" - "Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come;", we can confidently say, "Through inflation, shifting morality, up and down job and housing markets, and pandemics, we have already come." Even those things that lie ahead of us that have not unfolded yet, we can count on God to be faithful.

There is nothing that escapes the watchful eye of our Lord. Meditate on and rest in the Lord's faithfulness today!
