I’m Shannon and I unapologetically LOVE the Word of God! I’ve been in ministry for over 19 years and I’m an Author, Teacher, Preacher and Prayer Warrior!

I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and in 1998, after graduate school, the Lord moved me to Raleigh, NC where unbeknownst to me, He unfolded part of the plan that He had for my life - ministry! I had already given my life to the Lord at a very young age, but this was something so unexpected! During this time, I grew, I was trained, I was pruned, I was used of the Lord, I was molded, shaped, pruned again, had seasons of dryness, had seasons of darkness, had seasons of great exploits and during the entire time, my love for the Lord and the Word of God grew deeper. 

In 2019, the Lord moved me back home to take care of family and to work in this area of the vineyard. 

The Lord has gifted me with a passion for teaching God’s Truth. I am a firm believer that the Word of God will set you free and this belief is founded upon John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”  There is so much that awaits us if we only grab hold to this truth and believe it!

My charge is to “fulfill the ministry which I have received from the Lord” and I believe that it is through Captured by His Word.

My prayer for you is that you will read, see, or hear something that will cause you to be “captured” by the Word of God and experience true freedom in Christ Jesus!
